The Kindergarteners day consists of a multitude of activities to choose from such as sensory, books, science, manipulative, art, housekeeping, writing, blocks, and computers. The children also have small group time with planned activities on creative representation, language and literacy development, movement and music, time, space, number classification (math), science and social interaction. These activities are hands-on so children will have optimal learning experience. Large group time includes game playing, listening to stories, and act out or discussion stories. This time helps children to focus, acquire turn taking skills and fosters a sense of community. Guidance through the day consists of positive interaction by teaching the children the steps of problem solving. Special field trips may be included in planned activities. These trips will be appropriate for the child's age and parents will receive information about these outings in plenty of time.
The educational philosophy of children being "active learners" is a cornerstone of our educational approach. Planned activities provided by the teachers go beyond learning transmitted by the teacher. Teachers encourage participation, exploration and creativity as individuals and in a group.

Parents may stop by at any time to visit their child. Not everyone can stop by to visit so parents are welcome to call during the day to talk with the staff. Teachers are always looking for new experiences for the children so if you have a special skill or talent to share, talk with the teachers so we might incorporate them into the children's activities.
Transportation is provided from area schools based upon the number of children enrolled from that school.
